This handbook does not constitute a medical or dietary prescription, a diagnosis, individual therapeutic guidance or a substitute for a consultation with a legally qualified health professional.
The use of ivermectin for oncologic purposes constitutes off-label use (outside the approved package insert). Fenbendazole has no ANVISA registration for human use and is classified as a veterinary drug in Brazil.
Any therapeutic decision, including starting, continuing or stopping any protocol described in this handbook, must be made exclusively under the supervision of a physician or qualified health professional, based on individualized clinical assessment, complementary tests and properly documented informed consent.
The authors of this handbook and the developers of the app assume no responsibility for decisions made based on its content.
Sources and method
- Only sources with accountable editorial review are accepted: articles indexed in PubMed/MEDLINE with a PMID, clinical trial registrations (NCT), the manufacturer's package insert or label and publications from regulatory agencies (ANVISA, FDA, EMA, the Brazilian Nonproprietary Name list).
- Every clinical number in the e-book comes with its provenance. Where there is no source, this is stated plainly, instead of inventing a scale or hiding the gap.
- The spelling adopted in Portuguese is "fembendazol", with an M, as in the Brazilian Nonproprietary Name (DCB 3833). In the international literature the same drug appears as "fenbendazole", with an N: that is the name under which the articles are found.
- There is no completed phase III trial of ivermectin in cancer, and there is no human trial of fenbendazole in cancer at all. The 2025 series of 3 cases of self-medication with fenbendazole (PMID 40605964) and the 2026 cohort with ivermectin and mebendazole (PMID 42203321) were retracted and do not serve as support.
